NO-CODING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM:

6-week immersive experience with livestream training sessions at 7PM ET / 4PM PT every weeknight and weekend challenges.  We want to encourage cadets (ie. our student body) to have their own summer plans and log in every night with us rather than Netflix or video games -> we will be training you to build your own instead. The core curriculum is project-based and at your own pace so you can do it during the evenings or during the next day when you have time. Our top students find creative solutions to their own calendar so they can focus on the Academy while having maximum summer fun.

WEEK 3: Learn to think like a computer programmer
WEEK 4: Learn to thinking like a movie producer
WEEK 5: Learn to think like a political activist
WEEK 6: Learn to think like a billionaire investor

We also invite special guests and coaches into our summer program so that students can experience more of our network with hundreds of alumni, partners, and project collaborators worldwide.

MONTHLY COMPETITONS:

Our critically acclaimed weekend challenges (ie. 24 hour design-&-hack-a-thons) are hosted year round on the last Friday night over every month. Cadets can work in teams or solo to design and hack unique new solutions to massive new world problems. Academy students will have access to dedicated team and staff support channel during all competitions to aid in their creative efforts. Competitions vary from Academy-only events to international and multi-age events with thousands of other players. Every month is a different focus and challenge.

YEAR-ROUND COACHING:

Weekend and after-school access is granted to summer camp graduates to train with our pros, work together on special projects, and lead their own Play4Tomorrow-based initiative. Academy alumni have created games, products, and services that have served tens of millions of youth worldwide

4-YEAR PROGRAM:

The Play4Tomorrow Academy is a 40-year decision, not just a 4-year decision. Upon graduation, you earn lifetime access to free training, adult leadership programs, special events, and vibrant network of CEOs, thought leaders, and social impact leaders.

100% ONLINE:

Originally designed as an in-person program, we have recently converted all our community, training, and special events online. We are launching a live Academy in Toronto, Canada during the summer of 2022 where students, by special request, can help us serve hundreds of local grade school students and play in the online Academy with in-person support. We are re-launching our San Francisco, California Academy in summer of 2023 without restrictions.

Play4Tomorrow has trained over 6000 people at the intersection of leadership, design, and technology for over 10 years. We are a network of people passionate about creating a difference in the world of education, sports, and wellness for youth worldwide. Featured by Stanford University and TED for our community-based efforts, our unique approach to training young leaders has been recognized by large publications and the the Office of the First Lady of the United States.

APPLICATION PROCESS: New recruits are encouraged to participate in our monthly Design Royales (see 'APPLY NOW' above). Applications come in the form of Design Royale submissions (depending on the challenge of that specific month/event). Applications are reviewed by recent Academy alumni and small team of coaches to assess the top creative efforts. Outside of the Design Royale, recruits may also manually submit their own projects to info@play4tomorrow.com for Academy review. Although rare, we accept students outside of our monthly competitions based on individual acts of compassion and creativity. We only accept 25 new cadets every summer.

COST: Outside of time and commitment, there is no cost to accepted recruits.  The program is valued at $8,449 USD and proudly sponsored at no cost to students by our Academy Alumni and the Rocketship Foundation. Beyond our 4-year program, we also offer college and university scholarships for students who demonstrate need.
